Driefontein, Mpumalanga

Driefontein, also known as Saul Mkhizeville, is a village situated west of KwaNgema town in the Mkhondo Local Municipality in the Gert Sibande District of the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.

The name Driefontein means “Three-fountain” in Afrikaans.

It has changed its name to Mkhizeville after Saul Mkhize who was shot and killed by the apartheid police for organising a march against forceful removals.

This village should not be confused with the Driefontein in the North West Province of South Africa.
